The Deadlights mother was sourced from SubCool's The Dank. R.I.P. SubCool. She looks like Space Queen. This mother was selected from 9 females. She doesn't root readily. You have to be patient. She'll form a small potato of callus tissue before forming any roots. Other strains will show male flowers under high-nitrogen regime, but not this mother.
She has a strong citronella smell in veg and early flower, once the stems stiffen she smells of pineapple and lime. The citronella smell in early veg is certain to deter pests. She'll need support and thinning. Then, wait 4-7 weeks and watch the buds swell. She takes lots of stress and grows like a Sativa-leaning hybrid. Outdoors easily reaching 13' high and round. Her smoke tastes like a typical Mexican Sativa, but the buzz is more calming and relaxing than stimulating. Over and over she tests at: 0.76% THC and 13.75% CBD, an 18:1 CBD:THC ratio. She is very low in THC especially if harvested early, at 6-7 weeks. Though, it's well worth waiting 9-10 weeks. In the last weeks, she starts smelling of copal, black pepper, beef jerky, rotting fruit, as well as fresh pineapple, lime, juniper, sugary candy, or an Herbal Essences tropical shampoo commercial.
